We are looking for a talented Sales & Marketing Specialist to join our team to manage the agency’s marketing efforts, develop marketing strategies for our clients, and assist with Sales pitches and opportunities.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced marketing professional who is knowledgeable in all organic and paid marketing channels and has worked in a client-facing role previously. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-starter, creatively inclined, and able to manage multiple deadlines at a time.
This team member should be able to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for the agency that includes content marketing, paid media, and email campaigns. This role will work closely with our internal design team to develop marketing assets that are on-brand and optimized for their respective deployment channels. This includes website content and structural changes, content marketing videos, informative gated content such as e-books, banner ads, and sample assets for client pitches. This role will create monthly marketing reports to keep the team and leadership up to date on website traffic, ad performance, and top-performing content marketing articles.
The Sales & Marketing Specialist also acts as a Copy Editor for our content marketing strategy and is responsible for reviewing all articles written by the team for SEO and best practices before deployment.
In addition to supporting internal and external marketing strategies, this role will directly support the sales pipeline by assisting the VP of Key Accounts with Client Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing
Lead the marketing strategy for VMG Studios by creating a comprehensive plan.
Spearhead the continuous development and deployment of a content marketing strategy and undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.
Project manage internal branded marketing materials.
Adhere to marketing and brand guidelines to create consistency across channels to support and strengthen the company’s overall brand identity and sentiment in the market
Collaborate with the internal design and writing teams to produce high-quality written and video content that can be shared across channels and position VMG Studios as a thought leader in our space.
Develop editorial calendar, delegate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
Edit, proofread and improve the content.
Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics.
Analyze web traffic metrics.
Ideate and manage the creation of downloadable offers such as worksheets, one-sheets, checklists, e-books, and infographics.
Measure, report, and improve content performance using analytics tools such as HubSpot, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
Update and maintain the VMG Studios website regularly with new portfolio and learning hub content
Sales
Respond to new project inquiries
Attend client Intake meetings and Pitch Meetings
Manage, maintain, and close inbound sales lead
Assist the Sales Team by building SOWs, and client pitch decks.
Project manage pitches and research sales opportunities
Participate in the creation of project pitches and ensure content optimization for channel deployment.
Write informative and engaging responses to Requests for Proposals from prospective companies or groups.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
At least 2 years of marketing management, professional brand storytelling experience, or relevant experience.
Understanding of web publishing requirements.
Experience with SEO publishing best practices and web traffic metrics.
Expertise in social media platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
Project management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communications: you are a stickler for correct spelling, grammar, and citations.
Experience with analytics programs such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush.
Strong understanding of marketing through the various phases of the sales funnel.
Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills when it comes to processing documentation and project management.
Strong written portfolio to demonstrate the above qualifications.
