Not only do you receive quality pay, with escalating wage increases each year, but you also benefit from: • Being a part of a Union Department - IAFF Local • Work a 36-hour week and a 48-hour week, including 8 hours of OT weekly • Agency Funded Health and Dental Insurance • Escalating Paid Time Off, starting at 138 hours year one and growing each year thereafter • Paid Holidays (including Juneteenth, Labor Day, and Memorial Day) • Longevity Bonus after 5 years of service • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability (no cost) • Life Insurance (no cost) • 401k • Uniforms • $200 EMS uniform-related spending allowance yearly Responsibilities: • Ensure safety standards and universal precautions are met, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment • Live the tenants of Loyalty, Humanity, and Mercy in your daily life • Work to improve yourself daily through continuing education, skill utilization, and applying yourself in every part of your job • Support the communities we serve by being a community-first provider • Practice to the fullest extent of the PA Protocol for Emergency Medical Technicians Qualifications: • Familiar with laboratory best practices and equipment • At least 2 years of experience as a medical technician, or medical laboratory technician is essential • Excellent analysis, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills are necessary • An associate’s degree from an accredited training program in clinical laboratory science is required • A MLT license from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) EMT Qualifications/Skills: • Read, write, and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers • Write simple correspondence or reports • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managers • Knowledge of state and company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies • Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: • State driver’s license with a clean driving record • Pennsylvania EMT certification • Current Health Care Provider CPR certification • EVOC and EMSVO (provided if not previously held) • Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 (available online) Compensation: $25 - $29.67 hourly
