    Job Description

    This role provides leadership for commercial loan originations, ensuring thorough evaluation and sound judgment in structuring and generating high-quality lending opportunities across diverse markets. Responsibilities include overseeing origination processes, establishing production standards, and collaborating with lending teams to expand the portfolio through strategic and location-specific growth. The position supports risk-aligned expansion efforts and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Additionally, it contributes to strategic initiatives that promote sustainable production volume, market penetration, and origination excellence.

    Essential Functions

    • Lead the commercial loan originations function, ensuring accurate and timely generation of qualified lending opportunities.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor origination policies, procedures, and production frameworks.
    • Review and assess commercial lending requests, market data, and location-specific opportunity indicators.
    • Collaborate with lending officers to structure originations that align production goals with prudent risk considerations.
    • Oversee origination reporting and pipeline monitoring to identify emerging trends and market opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and best practices in loan generation.
    • Provide guidance and training to lending teams and originators on production standards and market strategies.
    • Participate in strategic planning to align origination efforts with organizational growth objectives.
    • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position:

    • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management, or related field.
    • 10+ Leading commercial loan origination activities, developing production policies, evaluating lending requests, and collaborating with teams.
      • This includes experience with origination reporting, regulatory compliance, pipeline monitoring, market and location-specific opportunity evaluation, and team leadership.

    Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

    • Knowledge of commercial loan origination principles, market analysis, and production standards.
    • Ability to evaluate lending requests, market conditions, and location-specific opportunity data.
    • Skill in developing and enforcing origination policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to commercial lending and loan production.
    • Ability to identify and pursue origination opportunities across diverse markets and regions.
    • Skill in collaborating with lending teams to structure commercially viable loan originations.
    • Ability to produce detailed pipeline reports and origination performance analyses.
    • Knowledge of internal controls and risk-aligned production frameworks.
    • Skill in training and mentoring originators and lending staff.
    • Ability to communicate origination strategies and market findings clearly to stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of loan structuring techniques and commercial lending practices.
    • Skill in strategic planning to align origination efforts with organizational objectives.

    Additional Information

    PAY RANGE: $253,000 to 295,000 plus 20% annual bonus.
    Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
