    A leading global financial services organization is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Technical Accounting to join its Corporate Accounting leadership team.

    This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives on solving complex accounting issues, influencing strategic business decisions, and partnering with executive leadership.

    *$275-$350K Total Compensation (Base + Full Annual Bonus)

    Responsibilities

    Will serve as the firm's technical accounting expert and strategic business partner by:

    • Advising executive leadership, legal, finance, and investment professionals on the accounting implications of acquisitions, investments, new products, and strategic initiatives.
    • Leading technical accounting research for complex, non-routine transactions, including consolidation analyses under ASC 810.
    • Preparing and defending accounting position papers while providing practical guidance on U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and disclosure requirements.
    • Evaluating transaction structures and recommending accounting solutions that support business objectives while ensuring compliance.
    • Leading the implementation of new accounting standards, SEC guidance, and emerging regulatory developments.
    • Partnering with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
    • Driving process improvements through automation, technology, and AI-enabled accounting research tools.
    • Mentoring and developing accounting professionals while helping build a best-in-class technical accounting organization.

    Qualifications

    • CPA designation required
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master’s degree a plus
    • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience in Big Four public accounting and/or industry
    • Extensive experience researching complex U.S. GAAP issues and drafting technical accounting memoranda
    • Strong background evaluating accounting and disclosure implications for sophisticated business transactions
    • Proven ability to communicate highly technical accounting matters to executive leadership and non-accounting stakeholders
    • Experience with SEC reporting and financial statement disclosures
    • Accounting Advisory, or Transaction Advisory experience is highly preferred
    • Financial services industry experience is a strong plus
    • Experience leveraging AI and technology to improve accounting research and operational efficiency is desirable

    $350,000 per year
