    The Role You Will Play

    • The VP Structured Finance will lead the support of new business transactions from the perspective of the Structured Finance department and the corporate-managed legal entities, including developing and recommending business flow processes for the region.
    • This role will collaborate with regional business units and corporate partners (such as Tax, Legal, Valuation, Investments, and Treasury) to develop alternative approaches, structures or business flows to address tax, financing, capital or other financial and risk management.
    • The VP Structured Finance participates with business units and corporate partners in the pricing, execution, and on-boarding of new transactions.
    • The role is also entrusted to participate in the structuring, review, and implementation of reinsurance / retrocession transactions to support both new business and existing business flows across legal entities.

    Background Profile

    • Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance or related field
    • 10+ years of life and health insurance industry experience
    • 5+ years of experience in GAAP, Statutory and tax accounting and financial reporting
    • Working knowledge of insurance/reinsurance accounting in the U.S. and internationally partnered with expert knowledge of life, health, and/or annuity products
    • Supervisory experience partnered with exceptional people management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates
    • Superior oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received
    • FSA or CPA accreditation preferred
