    Job Description

    The Vice President of Engineering will lead INNERGY’s America’s engineering organization, overseeing teams across North America. This leader will be responsible for technical strategy, people leadership, delivery excellence, and close partnership with Product, AI, and the broader business.

    This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for a leader who can modernize architecture, reduce technical debt, scale teams thoughtfully, and foster a high-performing, healthy engineering culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and scale a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization across North America, ensuring teams are structured, resourced, and empowered to support both current customers and future growth.
    • Own the technical vision and execution for INNERGY’s platform, driving modernization of architecture and intentional reduction of technical debt in priority areas to improve velocity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
    • Partner closely with Product and Customer-facing teams to ensure strong cross-functional alignment, translating product strategy and AI initiatives into clear technical roadmaps and predictable delivery.
    • Establish engineering best practices that increase platform reliability, performance, and security, directly improving customer experience and satisfaction while meeting enterprise-grade expectations.
    • Build and mature engineering processes (planning, delivery, quality, incident management) that balance speed with stability in a growing, PE-backed environment.
    • Lead talent management and hiring across regions, including workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning to support both near-term execution and long-term scale.
    • Foster a healthy, engaged engineering culture with clear career paths, development plans, and feedback loops, ensuring engineers feel supported, challenged, and invested in INNERGY’s mission.
    • Coach and develop engineering leaders, creating accountability while empowering teams to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and continuously improve.
    • Serve as a strategic technical leader to executive stakeholders, providing visibility into progress, risks, and tradeoffs while aligning engineering priorities with business goals.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles
    • Proven experience scaling engineering teams in SaaS or enterprise software environments
    • Strong background in modern cloud architectures, APIs, and distributed systems
    • Experience partnering with Product and executive leadership on roadmap and strategy
    • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, including platform modernization or post-acquisition integration
    • Excellent communication skills and executive presence

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in PE-backed or high-growth environments
    • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products or data-driven platforms
    • Experience supporting global engineering teams across multiple regions
    • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance best practices in engineering leadership
