    Overview

    The Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, overseeing all financial and accounting functions to ensure the company’s continued growth, profitability, and long-term value creation. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic planning, supporting both day-to-day operations and future expansion initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.

    • Provide insight and recommendations to the CEO and ownership group on financial performance, risk management, and capital allocation.

    • Support strategic initiatives including M&A, financing, and new business ventures.

    • Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team that scales with company growth.

    Financial Management & Reporting

    • Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

    • Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.

    • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other financial partners.

    Operational Excellence

    • Partner with department heads to develop budgets, monitor KPIs, and improve operational efficiency.

    • Drive process improvements in cash flow management, inventory control, and working capital optimization.

    • Implement systems and reporting tools to enhance financial visibility and decision-making.

    Risk Management & Compliance

    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.

    • Oversee insurance coverage, banking relationships, and risk mitigation strategies.

    • Monitor key financial risks and develop proactive mitigation plans.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

    • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a privately held or private equity–backed environment.

    • Proven track record in building financial infrastructure, managing growth, and driving profitability.

    • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

    • Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar).
