  • Responsibilities

    A leading global investment management firm is looking for a results driven VP of Investment Operations who will play a critical role in the operational engine that supports the full private credit deal lifecycle.

    This is an opportunity for a driven middle-office professional to sit at the crossroads of investment execution, legal documentation, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

    *$250-$285K Total Comp (base + full annual bonus)

    *3 days/week hybrid in office

    What You’ll Do:

    You’ll serve as a central hub for private credit transactions—ensuring deals are executed cleanly, data is captured accurately, and assets are administered with precision post-close. Your work will touch every stage of the private credit lifecycle, including:

    • Serving as a key member of the dedicated middle-office team supporting private deal closings
    • Coordinating funding, asset onboarding, monitoring workflows, and reporting accuracy across internal teams and external counterparties
    • Managing the private credit deal pipeline and ensuring timely tracking
    • Reviewing legal documents (credit agreements, amendments, fee letters) to extract and interpret key operational terms
    • Supporting relationships with banks, custodians, facilities, rating agencies, co-investors, auditors and other stakeholders
    • Acting as a bridge between investment teams and back-office functions—ensuring systems, processes, and responsibilities stay tightly aligned
    • Partnering with legal, tax, accounting, compliance, and technology on end-to-end deal execution
    • Developing and enhancing policies, procedures, controls, and documentation
    • Escalating operational issues appropriately and driving systematic improvements
    • Supporting process automation and contributing to long-term platform enhancements
    • Overseeing document management for private credit transactions

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in operations within asset management, investment banking, or financial services
    • 3+ years specifically supporting private credit / middle-office operations, including document review for key data points and operational terms
    • Strong understanding of private credit strategies—corporate direct lending required; BSL exposure a plus
    • Deep knowledge of finance fundamentals, process workflows, and cross-functional operations
    • Excellent analytical ability and comfort navigating complex operational challenges
    • High proficiency in Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and independently drive deliverables forward
