Bemana is helping hire a VP of Sales for an innovative and successful organization looking to build out their new industrial pump division.
The VP of Sales will set and execute the sales and marketing strategy, gather customers and market insights to shape product roadmaps, build and manage the sales team, establish a strong national distribution network, and develop strategic relationships with key OEMs, ensuring that products are integrated into their systems and positioned for long-term, high-volume growth.
This role requires national travel around ~50%. The role is based in the greater Minneapolis, MN area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the division’s go-to-market, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Own revenue growth by setting and achieving quarterly and annual sales and operating forecasts.
- Drive daily sales as an individual contributor.
- Build and lead a sales team, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
- Identify, select and develop national and regional distributors if necessary, and set product pricing to maximize sales objectives and market penetration.
- Identify, pursue, and manage strategic relationships with OEMs.
- Develop sales and marketing materials and lead generation tactics.
- Lead national trade shows exhibition and establish strong brand identity.
- Own the global product roadmap and lifecycle strategy.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Define pricing strategies, positioning, and product differentiation to drive growth and margin performance.
- Support key accounts, respond to customer feedback, and evaluate product-line performance.
- Develop business cases and technical specifications for new products.
- Provide precise customer feedback to research and development that results in new products, features and functionality for future products.
- Use CRM as source of truth for pipeline status and forecasting.
- Collaborate with corporate, engineering, and service as necessary.
What You'll Bring:
- Professional leadership, results oriented mindset, entrepreneurial, independent and able to make decisions and execute action steps at executive level.
- Track record of successful sales and/or business development experience (10+ years) in industrial centrifugal pump sales with preference for individuals that are both direct sales contributors and have experience managing direct sales representatives.
- Successful records of sales in various roles from sales representative to regional manager to national sales manager.
- Preferred experience and relationships with leading pump distributor and dealers.
- Proficiency in sales and marketing processes, systematic follow-up, and high level of independent motivation.
- Proven self-starter with a positive “can do” attitude, focus and ability to close.
- Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics & integrity on the job.
Requirements/Work Experience:
- Proven record of career advancement with at least 5+ years direct sales, marketing and/or sale management experience in the centrifugal pump industry.
- Growth mindset with experience building and managing P/L, forecasts, budgets, to deliver year-over-year increases.
- Demonstrated ability to build or scale a business unit, territory, or division.
- 50%+ travel to hire, lead and manage sales professionals and distributors.
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate’s degree with professional equivalent experience.
- Ability to lead with professionalism, knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset in-person and phone.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills.
- Experienced with CRM systems and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
