    Job Description

    We have a great opportunity for a Technical Project Manager in New York City!!! The candidate must be self-motivated, resourceful, and articulate. The YTechnical PM resource must possess a clear sense of accountability and must be able to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Experience with the project management lifecycle is required. Strong leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Individual must have a proven track record of relationship building skills, and be able to successfully lead multi-discipline meetings. Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and projects, and able to meet deadlines.

    Responsibilities:
    • Full lifecycle project management of complex technical Projects and Programs.
    • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables in support of business goals, and works with management and stakeholders for approvals.
    • Creates and maintains project documentation – charters, PM plans, schedules, status reports, change requests etc.
    • Monitoring and controlling of execution phase to ensure that projects are completed on time and meets all business and system requirements.
    • Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are achieved.
    • Develops project reporting and documentation required by the PMO which would include detailed project management plans, schedules, status reports, roles & responsibilities list.
    • Facilitates development of performance metrics, schedule tracking and adherence to established project baselines.
    • Communicates effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and team members.
    • Reports on the status, issues, key activities and any changes to the charter of the overall project.
    • Identifies and communicates resource conflicts. Provides presentations on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.
    • Builds a close working relationship with clients/vendors.
    • Creates and maintains project budgets including people and material costs to all projects; estimates resources needed and work effort for all project activities and negotiates with systems managers to ensure that the appropriate resources are assigned to achieve project goals.
    • Records actual time spent on each project and reports on variance between forecasted.
    • Maintains resource capacity plans for actively managed projects.
    • Conducts project completion reviews, lessons learned, resource and vendor assessments, and creates recommendations reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

    This is an hourly position with opportunity for overtime.
