Human Resources Coordinator (Hybrid) Bi-Lingual in Spanish

This is a long-term contract/hybrid position working mostly remote.
POSITION SUMMARY The HR Coordinator will report to the Manager, HR/Benefits and will work alongside each team member in the Human Resources Department and will have a wide range of duties in support of the HR Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Leave of Absences • Manage and execute all aspects of the LOA process (200+ LOAs) -Review LOA eligibility and Approve the Request Leave of Absence Forms and Return to Work Forms -Complete checklist to place an employee on a leave: o LOA Intake Form o Document in LOA Tracker o Enter sick and vacation time -Maintain reasonable communication with employees on LOA to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relay communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason. -Run a Daily LOA Report and email to the Training Department -Monitor correct documentation is on file for each employee in On Base -State Disability Forms-respond online to EDD in a timely manner -Paid Family Leave Forms-fill out and mail in Paid Family Leave Forms in a timely manner -Monitor restrictions/accommodations/Fitness for Duty for employees on leave -Work with Risk Management on Workers Comp leave of absences -Work with Payroll as needed -Send out leave of absence packets for each employee on LOA -Manage the LOA Tracker General Duties • First point of contact with monitoring the HR Inbox • Assist with OnBase Management – recoding, filing and forwarding documents to the appropriate Human Resources team member • Assist with recording, documenting and validating Service Award Acknowledgments in On Base and on spreadsheet; follow up with GM’s for missing acknowledgments • First point of contact for Employment Verifications • Maintain electronic employee document/personnel files ensuring legal compliance • Assist with coordinating HR activities and meetings as needed • Assist with special projects • Assist with Auditing all investigation cases • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience • High School diploma or equivalent is required • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred • 1-2 years’ experience working in Human Resources is required • Any Human Resources Certification is a plus
