  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Social Media Intern to develop and execute Vagaro's social media strategy and to integrate social into our overarching B2B and B2C content marketing strategy. You will learn how to handle everything from content ideation to execution, analysis and reporting. You should be a self-starter and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A mix of experience with consumer and B2B brands is a plus. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES  

    • Build and execute a social media strategy that increases brand awareness, boosts engagement and drives lead generation. 

    • Ensure social strategy aligns with the overall content marketing strategy. 

    • Shape the brand tone and voice for social and write engaging copy to match. 

    • Contribute to the content marketing calendar and derive a detailed social media calendar. 

    • Create engaging social media campaigns in support of product launches and seasonal promotions. 

    • Create a variety of social media content in collaboration with designers and video team: video stories, testimonials and interviews, quotes, feature demos, interactive content, infographics and more. 

    • Organize regular social media contests and giveaways. 

    • Build and nurture online relationships with industry experts, influencers and key customers. 

    • Supervise Community Management Specialist and ensure that support questions and complaints are addressed promptly on social channels. 

    • Escalate social community issues to the appropriate managers and departments in a timely manner. 

    • Establish social media KPIs in collaboration with Marketing Management. 

    • Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate performance against objectives. Constantly test, and optimize campaigns and projects based on results.  

    • Monitor social media channels for mentions of Vagaro, competitors and keywords related to the wellness industry. Report on social media sentiment and competitor initiatives. 

    • Prepare and present social media reports to the marketing team and to senior management. 

    • Stay current on social media trends, actively testing new tools and channels

     

    SKILLS REQUIRED  

    • Working towards a degree in Communications, Marketing,  Journalism,  Public Relations, Business , or equivalent.  

    • Experience in a wide range of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter.  

    • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.   

    • Confident and engaging in front of a camera; able to make others feel at ease while being interviewed for social content.   

    • Team player with a relaxed personality and great people skills.  

    • Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to interpret metrics and extract actionable insights.  

    • Experience or interest in the salon, spa, fitness, and wellness industry is a plus.
