This position will be responsible for creating compelling marketing content to help tell the world who Vagaro is and how our software helps salon, spa and fitness professionals successfully manage their business.

The ideal candidate will have a publisher mindset and relentlessly strive to create content our audience is looking for.

OVERVIEW The content marketing writer will be responsible for researching and writing miscellaneous forms of Marketing content to support feature releases, marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and other marketing initiatives. This role will help shape the voice of Vagaro, while communicating the value of our software solution to business owners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop Vagaro's voice and tone for business, and champion its implementation company-wide.

• Write copy that empowers, inspires, and motivates business owners across all channels to try our software, to subscribe and to upgrade their subscription.

• Conduct extensive research on industry-related topics.

• Maintain an organized library of content assets for use across the company.

• Contribute copy and scripts to the following content assets:

• SEO optimization (Yoast SEO, Clearscope, Google keywords

• Production of graphic assets (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)

• Analytics monitoring (Google Analytics, WordPress, JetPack, Monster Analytics)

• Blog and short form web content. 

• Support videos and customer testimonial videos, descriptions for YouTube and social platforms.

• Ad copy and tag lines.

• PowerPoint presentations.

• Web pages & landing pages.

• Newsletter content creation and management.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 4+ years of content writing experience, preferably around B2B SaaS solutions, in a marketing writing or content marketing role.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong knowledge of keyword placement and other SEO best practices.
• Experience writing on topics such as: small business management and marketing, salon, spa & beauty trends.
• Robust and diverse portfolio demonstrating breadth of writing skills (please include a link to this in your application).
• Undergraduate degree in English, Communications, Journalism or Business required.
