Vala Secure Cybersecurity & Compliance is looking for a take charge, goal oriented type consultant leader that can help build and execute information security and/or compliance plans for a wide range of organizations. Your main role will begin as conducting information security audits, risk assessments, and technical security reviews. A % of your salary will be based off of what your can achieve in this role. Your experience and willingness to learn will dictate how fast and how far you can go in this position. We need a strategist that can “talk tech” in an extremely digestible and personable way.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Your focus would be conducting Penetration Testing, Internal Vulnerability Assessment, Social Engineering services as well as helping develop top-class information security service procedures for our team.
• Conducting information security audits based on GLBA, FFIEC and COBIT guidelines. This will be at least 50% of the job at first.
• Performing Social Engineering reviews including dumpster diving
• Traveling up to 50%. Travel is usually Monday through Thursday up to twice a month. Some months require more traveling, some months require less traveling
• Job listing is posted for our HQ in Dallas but open to others areas if willing to fly back n forth

LAST - DESIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The following skills are preferred:

• Experience with cyber security projects and/or toolsets
• Experience with technology in a variety of environments
• Red Team/Forensics experience is a plus
• Self-starter
• Multitasks well
• Smart and effective communicator
• Make the complicated subject easy to understand to the novice
• Experience in the FFIEC, GLBA, PCI, HIPPA, HITECH, SOC, ISO or COBIT guidance recommended
