Experience in public works or government projects is preferred.  LEADERSHIP

• Responsible to protect and promote the interest of Valdez Construction, Inc. in all matters
• Assist in early stages of project estimating, planning and scheduling
• Be proactive in the identification of potential problems and recommend solutions
• Provide centralized leadership and guidance at project level
• Use resources within and outside the organization to execute duties in an effective manner
• Keep project managers informed on status of projects

SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT

• Coordinate and directly manage subcontractors and suppliers
• Develop and implement site safety plans and inspections
• Perform daily Quality Control checks of work being performed
• Produce daily Construction Status Reports
• Manage project schedule and create project look ahead schedules
• Proactively identify potential problems, issue appropriate documentation and recommend solutions
• Participate in meetings as required
• Manage employees to maximize production

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledgeable in all construction trades
• Motivated, self-starter who wants to seek growth, knowledge, and challenges

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Commercial, Federal, and/or Multi-Family Residential Construction highly desirable
• Possess computer skills with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Project) and Bluebeam
