INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE-STOCKTON
Valley Pacific is looking to fill the position of an Inside Sales Representative.
The following is expected of the individual who fills this position:
They must personify the company mission statement. This incorporates ethics, safety, etc.
Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
Ability to work well with others or alone.
This individual must create a positive working relationship through being both results-oriented and sincerely caring. They must be personally well-liked and well-respected by those around them and by other departments within the company.
The person that fills this job needs to be organized. They must promptly return phone calls, text messages, emails, etc. Follow through accurately, completely, and promptly on questions and assignments. Calendaring, task management, and communications are to be handled in a clear, timely, and well-organized manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Profitably retain existing customers: Inspire strong customer loyalty to him/herself and to Valley Pacific.
Systematically contact current customers and try to increase sales (“Share of Wallet”).
Revitalize profitable accounts that may have stopped using VPPS for various reasons. Demonstrate that we appreciate their business and will fulfill their business requirements.
Regularly close new business for the company: call-ins, prospecting, etc. (Cold Calling) Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
Effectively use CRM software to accomplish these responsibilities. (CRM training is available)
Smoothly transfer accounts back-and-forth with outside sales as determined by VPPS and/or requests by customers.
Understand and be able to explain products and services to the customer.
Set and meet quarterly goals and objectives set by supervisor.
Accurately quote and calculate customer pricing to establish profitable deliveries.
Adequate understanding of Excel, Word and Power Point.

With our 60+ years of association with Chevron, Valley Pacific (VPPS) employs over 200 individuals including supply/distribution personnel, sales representatives, accounting/administrative specialists and convenience store staff. Its headquarters is in Stockton, with other offices in Bakersfield, Fresno, King City, Lodi, Porterville, Salinas, Santa Maria, Visalia, Eureka, Fortuna, Garberville and Cloverdale. VPPS has hundreds of thousands of gallons of bulk lubricant storage: nearly all Chevron-branded. We operate service stations with convenience stores and supply over 100 Chevron, Texaco, "76", Valero, Spirit and Patriot branded dealers. We're also a member of the CFN cardlock network, operating over 30 cardlock fueling sites. We've identified five distinct groups of stakeholders who depend on Valley Pacific.
