    Heritage Crossing Facility has an immediate opening for a cook position. We pride ourselves on the culinary creations served from our kitchen, and are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to help support our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience preparing daily meals, enjoys working in a busy environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.     Responsibilities

    Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

    Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours

    Maintain accurate food inventories

    Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

    Rotate stock items as per established procedures

    Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

    Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

    Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

    Qualifications

    Food handling certification as required by State regulations.

    High school diploma/GED required

    2+ years experience as a Cook

    Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

    Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

    Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

    Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

    Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

    Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

    ServeSafe Certification preferred

    Requirements

    A positive attitude. Facility Cooks prepare a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements and need to be able to adhere to product sensitivities as well as the Patient's needs.
