Principle Mobile App Developer

Position summary

This is a hands-on role to design, code, and test new mobile application software and add features to existing software.  Our mobile apps run in both iOS and Android, and you will be our principle mobile app developer, who is responsible for all aspects of our mobile app development.  Our mobile apps are written in the native language (Java for Android, Objective-C/Swift for iOS) using our own hybrid framework to unify our Android and iOS development workflows.  You will engage in high-level white-board design sessions with our other senior developers and managers and take those ideas and create a working software design that you will code and test.  This is exclusively a hands-on position, and not a management role.   During COVID-19, the Company is working from home.   However, once we return to the office, this role is located in our Salem, NH facility with the ability to work from home a few days per week. 

Position Requirements

·       US Citizenship or Green Card Required

·       5+ years recent professional hands-on GUI development experience

·       5+ years recent experience in either iOS or Android native app development, and some recent experience with the other

·       5+ years recent experience with either Java or Objective-C/Swift, and some recent experience with the other

·       Experience AJAX techniques with XML and JSON

·       Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science

Other Helpful Skills

·       Subversion source code repository

·       Jira and Confluence life-cycle tools

·       Beginner-level knowledge of Java middleware development

·       Beginner-level knowledge of SQL queries to assist during testing

·       Knowledge of “C” code for Java JNI development (helpful but not required)
