Senior Corporate Communications Specialist to support internal and external communication programs across a variety of channels. The ideal candidate will help plan and execute PR programs to amplify the Akebia Corporate Brand narrative, inclusive of messages relevant to current commercial and pipeline product, narrative and pipeline among key external audiences through earned media, owned and social channels. S/he will also support and operationalize high-caliber communications programs designed to inform and motivate employees. This individual will be social media savvy and bring creative storytelling with expertise in operating within the confines of the biopharmaceutical industry and with a public company.
Required Skills
• Execute impactful earned media programs to position Akebia as a renal leader through dissimilation of corporate news, and educate target audiences about disease state, product, and pipeline for new therapies • Support the development of effective strategies to garner interest of top tier business, industry and consumer media • Support management of issues in close alignment with investor relations and other key internal business partners • Manage corporate social media program to support business objectives; serve as catalyst for new ideas and programs • Support the development and implementation of impactful internal and executive communications campaigns to inspire and drive employee engagement • Serve as a liaison with select internal business partners including, HR, Finance, Legal, and other teams as needed to bring to most effectively relay messages from each business unit to the company at large
