Financial Analyst Intern

Vanco is looking for a Financial Analyst Intern to join our Finance team. The Financial Analyst Intern will report to the Finance Lead and will be exposed to, and assist with, various financial analysis, and support go-to-market (GTM) strategy. The internship is designed to provide a broad range of experience in the many facets of finance that contribute to the day-to-day operations of a Private Equity backed company.

What you’ll be doing:

· Provide support to Senior Financial Analyst in preparation for month end close activities including accruals, commissions, and partner residuals

· Assist in completion of monthly financial packages with variance analysis

· Assist with ad-hoc analysis and the development of financial models and business cases to support business leaders

· Utilize Business intelligence software including Snowflake and Looker to interpret large data sets, create dashboards and automate reporting where meaningful

· Support Finance Leads with monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting

· Create automated excel reports utilizing connections to Salesforce and Power Query to transform data from multiple sources

· Collaborate with various business leaders to streamline processes

· Perform other related duties and assignments, as delegated

Who you are:

· Must be at least a rising junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or other related fields from an accredited four-year college or university

· Available to work an expected 10 weeks for 20-30 hours per week during the summer internship timeframe and start no earlier than May 3rd, 2021

· Solid analytical and research capabilities required

· Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization

· Self-starter, disciplined to work in a remote office environment, and manage multiple deadlines

Location Requirements:

· While this role will be based from our Atlanta, GA office, our team is currently working from home as we navigate COVID-19. Team members are able to work from the office on a volunteer basis
