At Vanco, we are looking for a Content Writer as we spread the word about our best-in-class software solutions that streamline and accelerate payment and program administration for schools, churches and nonprofits.
This role is a content generalist, managing a broad range of Content Marketing activities, with some key responsibility in social media. Overall, the content you create will be for current clients, with the goal of increasing their use of Vanco’s product offering. Your role reports to the Marketing Content Manager and will be integral to Vanco nurturing and maximizing our retained client base.
As a Marketing team, we are highly collaborative and practice Agile marketing, working in two-week sprints. What you’ll be doing:
Write optimized web, email, and blog copy, along with long form content marketing assets such as white papers, eBooks, case studies and other projects as needed to support highly converting content marketing strategies
Work with company leadership to plan, write and edit internal communications on a variety of topics
Collaborate with content manager to develop and maintain an editorial calendar that ensures we stay organized as we move with great speed.
Monitor the effectiveness of our content marketing strategy along with content team
Collaborate with team to do appropriate A/B testing, iterative optimization and enhancement of ongoing content marketing and inbound marketing efforts
Research industry trends and best practices to further develop content marketing expertise
Ability to write and develop social media posts (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) around designated themes for different audiences
Schedule social media posts and create timely posts daily as the need arises
Ability to grow social media following and reach
Monitor social media for various brands
Who you are:
You have your BA plus 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, agency copywriting, corporate communications or journalism
You have experience with CMS, preferably HubSpot (must be able to provide examples of work)
You have experience in social media and brand management
You are an excellent copywriter who can capture brand voice within both short-form and long-form content
You demonstrate exceptional ability to clearly and persuasively organize and convey information
You demonstrate a high degree of creative and analytical thinking, able to translate ideas into actions
You collaborate successfully, demonstrating effective interpersonal skills
You are an organized and effective project manager, able to juggle multiple priorities
You feel comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment with minimal oversight
You are a successful collaborator with effective interpersonal and cross-functional team building skills, a passion for continuous improvement and striving to be the best
You have strong oral comprehension, able to understand information and ideas presented verbally
You can commute to and work out of our Bloomington, MN office location
