Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Houston/San Antonio, an independently owned and operated group of Master Franchise Regions, has an immediate opening for a talented Business Development / Sales Support Specialist to join its team. Our ownership group owns and operates 3 Master Franchise Regions and supports over 150 Franchisees who maintain over 1100 facilities. We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven individual with a hunter mindset to be a part of our rapidly growing company!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Development role is an office-based sales position and this team member will be 100% focused on pipeline generating activities, lead development, and prospect development.
The core responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
- PURSUE AND ENGAGE NEW LEADS – You will be working with the Marketing Team to engage the leads that they hand off to you. You will pursue and engage those leads to understand how they make decisions, when they might look for services, and build a long-term relationship with them. There is a specific number of new leads that must be engaged per month in this position.
- NURTURE LEADS – Most people you speak with daily will not be immediate buyers.Therefore, it is crucial that the Business Development Manager follows a disciplined process to keep in touch with their owned leads and prospects over time. This is our nurture cycle and the better it is managed, the more your opportunities will compound over time.
- SET MEETINGS WITH PROSPECTS - One of the expectations is that this position produces 5-10 meetings with leads and prospects per week. Your main objective will be to set a target number of sales meetings per month.
- MARKETING - work closely with our marketing team to focus on the key geographic regions, key industries, and to quickly respond to relevant changes in the commercial market.
- FIELD SALES – Work closely with your field sales team to develop the territory.
- SUPPORT OUR FIELD SALES TEAM before, during and after meetings are set to ensure the best hand-off and overall experience for the prospective client.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
- 4+ years in a sales hunter roles and or business development roles.
- Other backgrounds might be considered if the candidate demonstrates the ability to build relationships with clients (i.e. hospitality).
Salary for this position will start at $45,000 depending on experience and on target bonuses/commissions per month will range from $1,200 - $3,000 depending on productivity and performance. On target earnings will range from $65,000 to $85,000 depending on performance.

Experience:
- Business development: 3 years (Preferred)
- Salesforce or Comparable CRM: 2 years (Preferred)
