Responsibilities: • Strong client relations and listening skills • Ability to collaborate with design team • Be able to produce interior elevations custom mill work and construction drawings • Design and collaborate on selection of FF and E, and create schedules and specifications • Familiarity with building codes and design standards • Strong space planning skills • Placing orders for furnishings, fabrics and decorative lighting as needed. • Ability to prepare and work within a budget • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner, while keeping a positive attitude daily • Experience in a hospitality setting is a plus but not required Qualifications: Effective time management and organizational skills • Must have bachelor’s degree in interior design. • Have at least 2 years of design experience at an interior design firm. • Proficient in AutoCad and or sketch-up, InDesign, Office Word, Excel and Power Point. • Incredible work ethic and follow through. • Have a very strong understanding of the design and construction process. • Display creativity in both finishes and furniture, with the ability to translate the LGI style into different style homes. • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationships skills. • An ability to multi-task as well as confidently delegate projects and tasks. • Extreme attention to detail with strong organization skills. • Self-motivated and adaptable spirit to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding creative environment. Compensation: $18 - $25 hourly
