As a Tool and Die Machinist with us, you will get to use blueprints to determine project specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish, and adjust parts and test tools to ensure quality standards are met. You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting tools and dies.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Read sketches, blueprints, and specifications to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum

efficiency.

• Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers

• Utilize conventional machining equipment to repair and modify jigs, and dies

• Work with engineer to help design templates and jigs to solve problems during production process

• Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive

dies.

• Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• One to five years of experience in tool and die making

• Must be able to stand for shift durations

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively

• Comfortable to work in thousandths of inch

• Salary for New York Based Applicants: $27.00 - $31.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).

• This is an Hourly position with overtime available

• Manual Machining Skills
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• High School / GED
