    Our client has a history of making an impact in a highly technical niche industry. They are looking for highly organized, detail oriented Project Managers who understand the technical aspects of engineering problems. Working with a team of smart, motivated and collaborative engineers. You will oversee all aspects of technical projects and planning, executing and finalizing solutions related to new and existing products. This role will be responsible for initiating programs, following their progress, and serving as support providers in case issues arise. You will coordinate efforts among workers and outside vendors, as well as develop effective schedules, and suggest action items that will still need to be completed in order to successfully complete the project.

    Essential job functions:

    • Drive new products and features through the development process
    • Gather and create product requirements and specifications
    • Make sure projects meet deadlines and are completed within budget
    • Provide basic technical leadership
    • Create and manage the plan for moving technical solutions to final client hand-off
    • Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team
    • Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes and communication standards for the operations teams
    • Manage the formulation and ongoing schedule and financial tracking of each project
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
    • Own the execution and communication of tasks of product development
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, required documentation, and presentations.
    • Works with internal and external stakeholders
    • Identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements
    • Provide expertise for escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle
    • Implement transformational process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools

    Required Degree And/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field
    • experience in engineering within manufacturing or development environments
    • Demonstrated experience in equipment troubleshooting and cycle time reduction
    • Capability of drafting production documentation
    • Experience with vendor/contractor management
    • Familiarity with supply chain management and supply chain quality
    • Experience leading/managing production teams (Matrix structure)
    • Working with customers to develop deliverables
    • Proven success in managing and tracking schedules and budgets
    • Knowledgeable with contract lifetime management awareness and tools
    • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team setting
    • Creative thinking and effective problem solving through innovative solutions to complex technical and business problems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
