This position will require experience so please do not apply if you do not have family law experience. The screening questions are mandatory. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal in family law. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations. Responsibilities: • Assist clients and attorneys during hearings and trials • Take client calls, managing their issues with tact • Maintain an organized filing system for all legal documents • Work closely with clients to gather necessary documentation for production • Draft, review, and file court documents that require minimal corrections for content, grammar, and style • Schedule & calendar hearings, mediations, and depositions • Assist attorneys in preparation for trial • Assist attorneys, as needed • Keep track of billed hours • Be able to take on multiple assignments at the same time and be able to prioritize independently Qualifications: • Minimum 4 years experience working as a paralegal in a family law firm • Excellent spelling and grammar • Ability to follow instructions and deliver on tasks given • Able to keep track of time for billing and all deliverables • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Experience working with CMS and cloud-based systems • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program is strongly preferred • Ability to be empathetic with clients and deliver an excellent customer service experience • Ability to speak Spanish fluently • Deliver exceptional support to clients and assist in billing inquiries if requested Compensation: $23 - $30 hourly
