    Pay: $30-34/hr

    1st and 2nd shifts available!

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
    • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
      • Basic math skills are essential.
      • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are required.
      • Ability to read and write.
      • Proficient in using measuring instruments for quality procedures.
      • Ability to withstand repetitive motion activities for extended periods.
      • Good vision, hearing, and physical agility (walking, squatting, bending).
      • Lifting capability up to 30 lbs on a regular basis

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies, ensuring parts meet specifications and making adjustments as necessary.
    • Cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks using power saws, power shears, rules, and hand tools.
    • File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to ensure proper fit.
    • Assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.
    • Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
    • Lift, position, and secure machined parts on worktables using hoists, vises, v-blocks, or angle plates.
    • Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers.
    • Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools.
    • Smooth and polish surfaces of parts or tools using various tools.
    • Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations.
    • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments.
    • Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.
    • Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids.
