Growing proprietary trading firm located in Chicago in search for an experienced FPGA Engineer that has the desire to fully lead an FPGA project, work closely with management, and help grow a business in an ultra competitive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development efforts for an FPGA project from start to finish.  This role will work closely with the trading community, technologists and management to develop, build, test and deliver a world class FPGA solution to be utilized on the world's largest exchanges.

QUALIFICATIONS

The right person should exhibit talents in computer science and electrical engineering, strong academic credentials and superior drive with demonstrated accomplishments and curiosity beyond what is expected of them.

• 2-3 Years in FPGA design, and full FPGA design lifecycle
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
• Strong C++ programming skills in a Linux environment
• Experience with Xilinx
• The desire to work within a collaborative, team-driven environment
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Experience in finding errors in the code and great debugging skills
• Experience using Wireshark or similar PCAP reading tools
• Familiarity with networking protocols is desirable
• Strong understanding of computer design and operating systems is a plus
• Understanding of financial markets and exchange traded products is a plus
