ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking an Email & SMS Marketing Manager to drive incremental sales and customer engagement through the email & sms marketing channel. This role will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and measurement of the email & sms marketing program as well as other retention marketing initiatives of the direct-to-consumer business. Our ideal candidate not only has an eye for design but should be data-obsessed, analytical and can interpret solutions to drive results. The Email and SMS Marketing Manager must have experience planning and managing email communications programs for a B2C company, ideally. The ideal candidate must be passionate about the opportunity to help conceive and then implement programs to further accelerate a growing business. The ideal candidate can speak, plan and organize their work on a strategic level, but is willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the tactical implementation of their initiatives. This person is a dynamic, high-energy individual who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent organizational interpersonal skills. Must also possess the ability to multitask and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth company. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide strategic thought leadership for Veestro email marketing program. • Develop and own new email/SMS marketing programs – test concepts, messages, offers, adjust plans based on results, and roll-out winning tactics on a wider scale. • Use program and guest data to evaluate the effectiveness of existing email campaigns and recommend new approach optimizations based on personal analysis. • Project manage enhancements to customer data architecture and data flows, partnering with internal and external teams to ensure they are executed, tested, and regularly optimized. • Become an expert on the email service provider platform and work closely with the vendor on customizations. • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns from idea to delivery including campaign creation (designing, writing, development, launch). • Create and distribute templates, segments and automations. • Establish rules, guidelines and best practices to effectively manage our subscription program. • Organize large amounts of raw results data into executive reports, tracking key performance indicators within the email program. • Develop and execute email marketing initiatives including, loyalty, reengagement, and other automated email flows • Manage the day-to-day execution of the email marketing program • Work on data hygiene, segmentation, and A/B testing of email templates and partner with marketing teams to develop lead generation strategies. QUALIFICATIONS: • 4+ years hands retention marketing experience with a focus on email SMS marketing. • Advanced understanding of email marketing best practices and CAN-SPAM/GDPR laws • Experience working in e-commerce • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Multi-unit retail is a plus • Experience with vendors, including graphic designers
• Advanced Excel proficiency is a plus • Basic knowledge of SQL and database query language preferred • Basic graphic design and/or creative asset editing a plus • Basic understanding of HTML or a willingness to learn it.
