    Vehicle Emissions & Lube Technician

    Location: Weber County, UT Job Type: Full-time (Part-time considered) Pay: $15–$18/hour depending on experience + bonus opportunities

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Vehicle Emissions Technician to join our team. This position combines Utah vehicle emissions testing with quick-lube service duties and front-counter customer service.

    This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on cars, helping customers, and being part of a fast-paced shop environment.

    No emissions experience? We are willing to train the right candidate and assist with certification.

    Responsibilities

    Emissions Testing

    Perform Utah vehicle emissions inspections in accordance with state and county regulations

    Accurately enter vehicle data and complete testing documentation

    Explain results and next steps to customers clearly and professionally

    Lube / Hood Technician Duties

    Perform oil and filter changes on a wide range of vehicles

    Check and top off vehicle fluids (coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid, etc.)

    Replace air filters and cabin filters

    Perform basic preventative maintenance services

    Follow shop safety and quality procedures

    Customer Service & Front Counter

    Greet customers and guide them through the service process

    Create invoices and check customers out using POS system

    Answer basic service questions and recommend maintenance when appropriate

    Shop Operations

    Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

    Assist with inventory tracking and restocking supplies

    Work as part of a team to keep workflow efficient and customers happy

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED preferred

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    Ability to obtain/hold Utah Emissions Inspector Certification (Weber County)

    Basic automotive knowledge preferred (training available)

    Comfortable using computers and learning shop software

    Strong customer service and communication skills

    Ability to work on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs
