    The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for managing the day-to-day compliant operations of the firm, working with and assisting as necessary the Data Technology team, internal Audit, and Business Units, to ensure regulatory compliance, management and oversight of compliance and technical projects, annual and surplus lines filings and ensuring all Business Units are appropriately supported. Provide guidance on industry best practices with respect to compliance issues and risks, including guidance on state and federal insurance or related laws, and insurance contracts specific to the organization’s operations. Identifies and provides solutions to operational efficiencies to ensure consistency in underwriting, operations, data, and technology compliance. Must be able to work cross-culturally and bridge cultural and functional barriers to communicate effectively both internally and externally. Skilled in managing deadlines and work volume to meet deadlines and ensure that the organization maintains compliance with rules, regulations, and laws.

    A typical day might include:

    • Conducts research and response to requests related to corporate and regulatory compliance matters.
    • Assists in work with the appropriate Business Leaders in each department and management at all levels to ensure effectiveness of compliance controls.
    • Assists in managing KPIs for the Compliance Department.
    • Oversees data reporting, management, and responses of carriers to governing regulatory agencies.
    • Responsible for being current with laws, changing laws, regulations, guidance, and industry best practices to make recommendations for revisions to corporate and operational policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, guidance, and industry best practices by recommending the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and monitoring of compliance related guidance and communications.
    • Support technology department with Privacy & Security initiatives and operationalizing assuring internal compliance with all laws, and internal policies and procedures.
    • Assist compliance manager with business related guidance with respect to compliance related matters and issues.
    • Support the compliance program’s auditing and monitoring activities including compliance assurance monitoring, compliance testing and analyzing issues, exposures, and risks to identify their root causes and potential gaps and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
    • Maintain corporate compliance logs, reports and compliance reviews completed and other compliance records.
    • Provide ad hoc reports and presentations on risk and compliance issues that arise.
    • Provide monthly or as needed reporting to the Audit/Compliance Committee.
    • Serve as a liaison with data reporting and technology partners and affiliates for development and implementation of compliance regulatory compliance initiatives.
    • Proactively drive improvements to operational compliance and oversee projects associated with compliance and governance programs.
    • Any other duties directed and/or assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required with 1-2+ years Insurance compliance or Compliance Analyst experience preferred.

    • Ability to oversee multi-faceted projects to a successful conclusion. Project oversight experience a plus

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.

    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

    • Possess a strong critical analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

    • Ability to conduct and analyze data and information relevant to regulatory or compliance-related topics and issues.

    • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.

    • Ability to understand and interpret insurance laws, regulations, industry guidelines, statutes, administrative regulations, and data related thereto.

    • Possess research skills, particularly in the area of data, insurance and regulation.

    • Muli-tasker with keen eye toward details, data trends and deadlines

    • Ability to collaborate with a team and all levels in the organization.

    • Strong computer skills, emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

    Working conditions:

    This role operates in an office setting (hybrid work week) and can be located in

    Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, or Chicago, IL.

    It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

    Physical presence in the office on a hybrid workweek during normal business hours is preferred for effective interaction and collaboration with colleagues to complete work tasks and meet business demands, including sudden and/or urgent assignments. This role may have the opportunity to work remotely with required periodic travel into the corporate office.
