VELOCITY VEHICLE GROUP (VVG) IS SEEKING AN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST TO JOIN OUR TEAM! THIS JOB IS FULL-TIME REMOTE POSITION.
Velocity Vehicle Group is the one-stop shop expert for all truckers, owner-operators, fleets & companies in the Southwest United States. We help with any aspect of the commercial trucking industry and specialize in rentals and leasing, financing, parts distribution, as well as full service and preventative maintenance.

The Operations Specialist partners with operations management to drive operational success. The responsibilities and core functions are as follows:
- Supports a culture of Safety through reporting, training support and maintaining records
- Ensures vendors are paid timely and accurately utilizing Docuphase
- Monitor and review accounting schedules to provide training and quality assurance within Service accounting processes
- Reconciles payments daily for Service Department
- Provides reporting and metrics to Service Management supporting strategic goals
- Process and support Service Staff payroll
- Assist the Service Training Department in Technician and Staff development through reporting, tracking and project support
- Promote a successful customer experience by supporting both internal and external communications (including social media mgmt., Medallia mgmt., Internal Communication boards, etc)
- Develop process and policies to continuously improve the Service Department operations
- Willing and able to contribute to strategic projects within the Service Department
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent in problem prevention, quality assurance and creative problem solving through ongoing training, cross-training/job rotation and mentoring.
- An in-depth understanding of the expectations, ensure that the quality of operations is never compromised.
- Actively supports Service Management through planning and scheduling, improvement projects and expanded assignments.
- Facilitate problem solving by ensuring that the necessary data and information is always considered in order to obtain the best results.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
- All decisions and actions are taken in a manner that builds trust and promotes compassion for our team and our customers.
PREREQUISITES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years’ experience
- Effective communication skills
- Proficient in remote working tools (Zoom, file sharing, etc)
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Coaching and/or mentoring skills
- Experience supporting/leading projects and working with lean methodologies
- Heavy-Duty truck experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
