    Job Description

    VENDOR DIRECT SOLUTIONS IS A MARKET LEADER IN LAW FIRM AND ORGANIZATION INFORMATION MANAGEMENT CONSULTING AND OUTSOURCING. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED FULL- TIME RECORDS CLERK TO WORK AT ESTABLISHED CLIENT LAW FIRM IN SACRAMENTO, CA. VENDOR DIRECT SOLUTIONS IS NOT A RECRUITING OR STAFFING AGENCY.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform work in copy, fax and/or receptionist areas according to established procedure
    • Process incoming and outgoing mail, Fedex and UPS items.
    • Scan and email incoming mail daily.
    • Coordinate with Office Manager in supporting office visitors.
    • Provide Copy/Scan/Print services as needed.
    • Load copier with various paper and toner.
    • Maintain other office and kitchen supplies.
    • Work cooperatively with various levels of legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, partners, managing partners, and administration.
    • Creating and maintaining files according to established policies and procedures.
    • Researching, retrieving, and delivering documents and boxes as requested. 
    • Locate files at client request for temporary use outside of the department.
    • Troubleshoot basic equipment problems.
    • Research & problem solve issues pertaining to locating requested records.
    • Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
    • Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Skilled in the use of digital reprographics, fax, binding, mail and phone equipment preferred
    •  Legal Records experience desirable
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Able to work independently without daily supervision.
    • Requires intermediate or higher computer skill level, specifically using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
    • Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
    • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Must be self-motivated with positive can do attitude
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
    • Must be able to push, pull, bend, twist, and work standing up for long periods of time.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred;
    • Minimum two - five yeas records experience in a legal environment; relevant experience and training in front office administration is preferred.
