JOB TITLE: BENEFITS IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: BENEFITS IMPLEMENTATION
FLSA STATUS: FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: AVP OF BENEFITS IMPLEMENTATION
Position Summary: The Benefits Implementation Specialist acts as the main point of contact with the client, as well as work with the Benefits Consultants and other key team members to ensure the smooth enrollment of the selected benefits products. This includes taking the implementation from time of executed contract through the successful run of the first payroll with benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing tasks assigned to client and business partners to keep them on track
- Lead pre-implementation calls with internal team members and business partners
- Perform implementation calls with internal team members and client
- Attend weekly benefits meetings to review pipeline
- Work with 3rd party enrollment team to provide details, resulting in increased adoption
- Maintain knowledge of requirements, regulations and compliance of benefits plans, such as life, health, dental, vision and disability
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
- Confidently lead and drive progress for a successful and speedy implementation. These are template and checklist driven repeatable processes
- Manage client expectations throughout the enrollment process
- Work proactively to facilitate solutions as challenges present themselves
- Maintain open communication regarding client with necessary departments and business partners
- Dashboard creation of employee facing electronic enrollment platform
- Acting as part of a team to continually develop and create improved processes and procedures
- Prepare and distribute weekly update of benefits implementation activities
- Other related duties, as assigned
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Displays professionalism through sound judgment, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, as well as attention to detail
- Presentation and training skills utilizing web-based conferencing software is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop relationships with an array of clients in different industries and with varying personality types
- The ability to coordinate multiple projects with varying and changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- The ability to think creatively and out of the box
- Bilingual is a plus
Qualifications:
- One year in benefits administration, sales, and/or enrollments preferred
- Experience with PEO software is a plus
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Excel macros preferable
