    The Facility Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all university facilities. This position involves coordinating maintenance activities, managing service requests, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the campus remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintenance Coordination
      • Collaborate with maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to schedule and oversee repair and maintenance projects.
      • Prioritize and assign work orders, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
      • Maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule and implement preventative maintenance plans.
    • * Participate in facility planning and renovation projects. 
      
      • Collaboration
        • Collaborate with other university departments and teams to address facility-related needs
      • Documentation and Reporting
        • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenditures, and equipment inventories.
        • Generate reports and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
      • Safety and Compliance
        • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
        • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
        • Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.
      • Vendor and Contractor Relations
        • Evaluate and select contractors and vendors for various maintenance and repair projects.
        • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to university standards and regulations.
      • Budget Oversight
        • Assist in managing the facility maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
        • Review and approve invoices related to maintenance and repair work.
      • Service Request Management
        • Receive and process maintenance requests from faculty, staff, and students.
        • Track and document service requests, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
        • Communicate updates and timelines to requestors.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven experience in facility maintenance coordination or a similar role.
    • Knowledge of maintenance best practices, building systems, and safety regulations.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, including facility management software.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
