CONTROLLER NEEDED FOR CLINICAL RESEARCH COMPANY HEADQUARTERED IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS!

Ventavia Research Group is a clinical research firm focused on providing exceptional services to the clinical trial industry and community. We are looking for an experienced, reliable Controller who leads with integrity, positively motivates others, and has experience taking charge of an accounting and clerical department.

As a Controller, you are a key member of our Accounting and Finance responsible for planning and directing the accounting operations of the company.  You will also serve as the primary advisor to the company’s executive team on all accounting matters.

 THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Has substantial experience in the healthcare industry required with a preference for experience in a clinical research organization. 
• Has experience in accounting management and Investigator Payment experience at either a CRO, a site network group, a biotech or Pharma, etc. strongly preferred 
• Has experience hiring, coaching, counseling, and training staff
• Enjoys working as part of a team; can easily build relationships with cross-departmental leaders and staff

OUR CONTROLLER:

• Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, site financial management as well as all applicable reconciliations. 
• Directs accounting policies and procedures; creates, prepares and audits various financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules 
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit. 
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
