Position Summary:

• This laboratory-based position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills that possesses the ability to work across a highly matrixed environment to advance preclinical programs from target identification/validation through IND enabling activities.
• This position will offer the candidate the opportunity to work broadly across different therapeutic target classes in metabolic disease while developing strong collaborations with colleagues from our supportive groups (including medicinal chemistry, screening, in vivo pharmacology, and translational research).

Description:

• Support and assist with tissue processing from in-vivo studies.
• Support and perform molecular biology assays and data analysis on in-vivo/in-vitro samples.
• Support and assist with chemical biology assays on ex-vivo and in-vitro cell samples.
• Interact with biologists, chemists and research leads to further develop and advance protein target drug discovery leads.

Qualifications/Skills:

• B.S./B.A. with minimum of 1-3 years of industry experience (preferred but not required) with hands-on research experience in molecular biology techniques is required.
• Experience with western blotting is required.
• Experience with immunoprecipitation and ELISAs is preferred.
• Experience with cell culture work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to independently design, execute, analyze data, and troubleshoot if needed is required.
• Proficiency in utilizing software such as Graph Pad, Microsoft office etc. for data analysis and figure generation is required.
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational and record keeping skills is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally is required.
• Deep understanding of the scientific basis and technical details of a variety of cellular and molecular biology techniques and assays.
