    Job Description

    Venture Lynk is a consulting firm located in Los Angeles and our client is a top 25 mortgage company. They have at least two 6 month assignments that have a high potential for becoming permanent. The two previous assignments have turned into permanent positions.  The company is seeking a Vendor/Supplier Procurement Manager to become a part of its Vendor Management team. Each of these two consultants will provide overall support to the business needs of the vendor management group by working with the company's legal counsel and the Vice President of Vendor Management to review, assist with new and ongoing vendor relationships.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for leading strategic sourcing events, including project managing and implementing plans, qualifying suppliers, building requirements internally, and pricing and negotiating contracts with suppliers. Reliance on experience and sound judgement to plan and accomplish specific savings and contract goals are crucial to this role. Independently exercises a wide degree of creativity and latitude in managing contract risk across diverse products and internal business units. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Designs and implements strategies for assigned Category Management roles.
    • Cooperates with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
    • Performs Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and pricing analyses for diverse product and services transactions.
    • Prepares and implements effective negotiation strategies based on project objectives.
    • Examines and reassesses existing contracts for saving opportunities, regulatory compliance, and fitness for renewal.
    • Proactively manages internal and external customer expectations.
    • Maintains relationships with Corporate Legal, CISO, and Risk Management to ensure compliance with contractual terms, ensuring standard or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved by legal/ risk management.
    • Optimizes sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • THIS IS A REMOTE WORK FROM HOME POSITION
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of five (5) + years’ experience working in a similar field.
    • Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
    • Minimum two (2) + years of management experience preferred.
    • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
