    About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven Senior Operations Manager to lead operational execution for large-scale events, including concerts, backstage hospitality, and high-volume food service programs. In this pivotal role, you will own end-to-end event operations from production planning and logistics through on-site leadership and post-event recaps. Your primary objective is to ensure every event runs safely, on time, and strictly adheres to our brand standards.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on leadership in fast-paced live event environments with the strategic ability to build structure, improve processes, and scale repeatable operations across multiple formats. Success in this role is measured by consistent service quality, strong team performance, seamless execution under pressure, and continuous improvement driven by clear communication and post-event debriefs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership and Team Development

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately four to eight employees.

Partner with the V&E Director to establish priorities and weekly execution plans.

Communicate clear responsibilities, timelines, and performance expectations.

Promote accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

    Event Planning and Execution

Lead the planning and execution of large-scale events and hospitality programs.

Translate event briefs and client needs into clear operational plans.

Serve as the primary onsite operations leader.

Ensure events meet standards for quality, timing, presentation, safety, and food sanitation.

Develop contingency plans and resolve issues quickly during live events.

    Logistics, Staffing, and Assets

Order, receive, pack, and track event supplies, beverages, snacks, and equipment.

Create run-of-show plans covering setup, service, breakdown, and load-out.

Determine staffing needs and build schedules based on event scope.

Coordinate with culinary, operations, account management, and field teams.

Ensure equipment and materials are organized, accounted for, and event-ready.

    Process Improvement and Communication

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for event execution.

Identify inefficiencies and establish consistent best practices.

Keep internal teams and clients aligned on timelines and expectations.

Lead post-event debriefs and implement improvements.

    Job Requirements

    Experience and Leadership

Five or more years of experience in event operations, hospitality, production management, or a related field.

Experience managing large-scale, high-volume, or complex live events.

Demonstrated success leading and developing teams.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on onsite execution.

    Operational Skills

Strong knowledge of event logistics, staffing, production schedules, and load-in and load-out procedures.

Excellent organization, project-management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Technology

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Experience working in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other shared cloud-based platforms.

    Schedule and Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and work in active event environments for prolonged periods.

Ability to lift and carry approximately 50–75 pounds.

Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
