    Vergence is a Federal Government contractor supporting IT services contracts for various Federal and State government agencies. We are in need of a Software Engineer to support current and future customer engagements. This position will be part of a team responsible for IT and Software Development support services as well as system architecture optimization and database design. The ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both the Vergence team and its customers is required.

    This position is based in Indianapolis, IN however the work can be performed remotely in a telework capacity. Occasional visits to Indianapolis for customer engagements and team meetings is required. US Citizen and the ability to successfully pass a federal background check is required for a security clearance.

    The Software Engineer shall be the primary production element of the development team. The software engineer reads the business requirements, develops the application code, performs system (unit) testing, follows the software change protocol, and supports the production support team in trouble resolution. The software engineer should have a minimum of 3 years of development experience with a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar from an accredited University. Additionally, the Software Engineer (or equivalent) shall have a strong foundation in several of the key skill sets listed below. Training and mentorship opportunities are available for skill set areas in need of additional development.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with the principles of database design
