    We’re seeking Enterprise Business System Engineer candidates with experience working with Federal clients to join our growing team. You’ll work alongside company leadership and client staff to support the Federal Government’s public service mission with innovative information technology (IT) and financial management solutions.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    An Enterprise Business System Engineer at Vergys actively participates and owns a multitude of activities/outcomes over the life of the project, based on interests, skillsets, client needs, and opportunities. Core responsibilities for this role include the following:

    • Communicate technology designs and architectural requirements and constraints to business leaders

    • Provide comprehensive, business-driven, and sound technical architecture guidance to the project and acquisition management teams

    • Advise on expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components

    • Provide strategic guidance to business owners and project managers in order to achieve organizational goals and milestones aligned to the overall modernization strategy

    • Performs related duties as assigned

    The successful candidate will have advanced critical thinking skills, and experience in delivering large scale, technology programs leveraging Agile principles. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to deliver nimble solutions amidst a dynamic and ever-changing professional/operating environment,as well as the success criteria as defined by each respective client.

    NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    An Enterprise Business System Engineer is critical to the success of our clients. Core skills required for this role include the following:

    • 5+ years of experience defining and implementing Configuration and Requirements Management best practices and workflows, leveraging industry leading tools (e.g. Jira, HP-ALM, etc.)

    • 5+ years driving decisions by way of Change Control Boards and Architecture Review Boards (or equivalent)

    • Ability to model and effectively communicate business processes, data flows, conceptual and logical designs, and application/data architecture to both technical and business stakeholders

    • Provide salient input to enterprise solutions, specifically application and infrastructure standards, controls, and architecture

    • Ability to understand and design data standards, governance, and integration methods between legacy and modernized systems

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a strong desire to collaborate to accomplish tasks and resolve issues

    • Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platforms, cloud native application development, and cloud hosted middleware platforms is desired

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in math, computer science, engineering, technology, or a related field and 8+ years of professional experience -OR-

    • Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration/Policy, or Master’s in information management or related field and 5+ years of professional experience

    • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft’s Office Tool Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

    • Experience in coordinating technology designs with architectural requirements and constraints

    • Knowledge of business system architecture principles, concepts, and best practices

    • Experience working implementing solutions leveraging an Agile software delivery framework

    • Previous experience working in or for the Federal Government is strongly preferred.

    • Ability to work individually and cooperatively in a team environment with a willingness to share knowledge

    This is a service-focused position in a professional services setting. Team members work on-site, alongside other team members providing high levels of interaction while developing client management skills. Work environments tend to be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring individuals who are flexible, upbeat, collaborative, and self-starting.
