    We’re looking for candidates with top-notch analytical, communication, and program management skills to join our growing client delivery team. As an Senior Associate with Vergys, you will work alongside company leadership and client staff to solve some of the federal government’s foremost challenges in financial management, all within the innovative environment of a small company. We’re seeking Senior Operations and Budget Analyst candidates with experience developing and maintaining annual budgets, plans, resource allocation plans and other budgetary tasks with federal clients to join our growing client delivery team

    Senior Associates directly support federal executives in optimizing their financial resources through best practice research, data manipulation and analysis, business process improvement, stakeholder communication, and other consultative tasks. In addition, Senior Associates participate in various internal activities (i.e., customer relationship management, capture and proposal management, and hiring/staff development) to ensure the continued growth of our firm.

    CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to Federal Government Fee Management engagements. Our ideal candidate actively participates in multiple aspects of a project based on interests, skill sets, client needs, and opportunities. Core responsibilities for this role include the following:

    Work closely with the project team and government personnel to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical project documents (e.g., business needs assessments, risk management plans, alternatives analysis, cost-benefit analysis, acquisition plans)

    Provide support and assistance in government best practices, business re-engineering, business process development, business metrics development, facility and workforce planning

    Have the capability to manage projects of high complexity and to direct the completion of projects within estimated time-frames and resource constraints

    Coordinate all parties to tasks and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.

    Collect, analyze, and manipulate a variety of data to generate recommendations or conclusions

    Synthesize and/or summarize data, research, or communications (e.g., summary briefings and meeting minutes)

    Contribute to firm marketing and promotional efforts

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This is a service-focused position in a professional services setting. Senior Associates work on-site, alongside other team members providing high levels of interaction while developing client management skills. Work environments tend to be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring individuals who are flexible, upbeat, collaborative, and self-starting.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Successful candidates should possess a high degree of professionalism, value quality, and demonstrate strong initiative while meeting the following qualifications and requirements.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Demonstrated experience in CFO Advisory services (i.e., Project Management, Budget and Resource Management, Business Intelligence/Activity-Based Costing, and Fee for Service/Cost Estimation)

    Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field

    Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in managing projects, with a focus on business process and re-engineering projects.

    Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

    Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

    Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data

    Ability to read and interpret policy, regulations, and directives

    Proficiency in financial analysis, activity-based costing, CostPerform software and fee management processes.

    Experience in liaising with other fee-funded federal agencies and fee rule writing

    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Proficiency in CostPerform

    Proficiency in Microsoft’s Office Tool Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

    Ability to disseminate conversations into working points (i.e., meeting notes, action items, documentation)

    Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups

    Writing ability meets established standards for Order, Clarity, Conciseness, Style, and Terminology

    Disciplined in time management to handle multiple projects and flexible work schedule

    Ability to work individually and cooperatively in a team environment with a willingness to share knowledge

    Confidence, creativity, and a strong drive

    Strong quantitative skills and comfort working with, analyzing, and synthesizing budget and program data

    Ability to disseminate conversations into working points (e.g., meeting notes, action items, documentation)

    Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups

    Writing ability meets established standards for Order, Clarity, Conciseness, Style, and Terminology
