    We’re looking for candidates with top-notch analytical, communication, and program management skills to join our growing client delivery team. As an Associate with Vergys, you will work alongside company leadership and client staff to solve some of the federal government’s foremost challenges in information technology (IT) and financial management, all within the innovative environment of a small company. Our service lines include:

    Chief Information Officer (CIO) Advisory - Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), IT Portfolio Management, and IT Project Management

    Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Advisory - Budget and Resource Management, Business Intelligence/Activity-Based Costing, and Fee for Service/Cost Estimation

    Within our CIO and CFO Advisory services lines, Associates directly support federal executives in optimizing their IT and financial resources through best practice research, data manipulation and analysis, business process improvement, stakeholder communication, and other consultative tasks. In addition, Associates participate in various internal activities (i.e., customer relationship management, capture and proposal management, and hiring/staff development) to ensure the continued growth of our firm.

    Position is located in Washington D.C. (our main offices) with expected meetings and work at the client location in White Oak, MD.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide advice and assistance in the research, development, dissemination, and communication of a Strategic Human Capital plan

    Develop and deploy key Human Capital measures to objectively assess progress in achieving strategic planning goals.

    Interact daily with agency-level human resources personnel as well as other areas of the Agency in the course of the strategic planning.

    Manage strategic communication requirements to include stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, key message development and managing communication vehicles

    Provide real-time human resources support to include areas such as workforce planning, talent management strategies, workforce transformation, workforce analytics.

    Support firm business development efforts, to include contributing to proposal efforts, developing blogs, white papers, articles and other publications.

    An Associate at Vergys is a generalist role, with consultants actively participating in multiple aspects of a project based on interests, skillsets, client needs, and firm opportunities. Core responsibilities include the following:

    Conduct primary research that supports client recommendations

    Collect and manipulate a variety of data to generate recommendations or conclusions

    Synthesize and/or summarize data, research, or communications (e.g. summary briefings and meeting minutes)

    Contribute to firm marketing and promotional efforts

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    This is a service-focused position in a professional services setting. Associates work on-site, alongside other team members providing high levels of interaction while developing client management skills. Work environments tend to be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring individuals who are flexible, upbeat, collaborative, and self-starting.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Successful candidates should possess a high degree of professionalism, value quality, and demonstrate strong initiative while meeting the following qualifications and requirements. Including but not limited to:

    Experience and knowledge of working in the Federal government, specifically in HHS or FDA

    Experience delivering on consulting projects delivering strategic workforce planning methodologies and tools.

    Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct research and synthesize complex information

    Experience building productive and trusting relationships with internal and external clients.

    Current awareness and understanding of the most current practices, technologies, trends, and regulatory issues surrounding federal acquisition process that impact clients in the Federal Government.

    Strong oral and written communication and facilitation skills.

    Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team, along with a strong attention to detail.

    Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely, effective, efficient, and economic delivery of services.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Bachelor’s Degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related field OR Master of Business Administration from an academically rigorous program

    Strong academic performance

    0-5 years of total professional experience

    Demonstrated experience in CIO or CFO Advisory services (i.e., CPIC, IT Portfolio Management, IT Project Management, Budget and Resource Management, Business Intelligence/Activity-Based Costing, and Fee for Service/Cost Estimation)

    Attention to detail

    Basic Knowledge of well-established budget formulation practices, procedures, precedents and policies.

    Ability to research and analyze data and to interpret findings, and the ability to use IT to do so.

    Basic understanding of budgeting and regulatory requirements

    Experience managing budgets.

    Confidence, creativity, and a strong drive

    Exceptional oral and written communication skills
