We are looking to fill two positions to work in our North Tampa clinic:

     

        • REFERRAL COORDINATOR * * *

    We are looking for someone to join our team as the referral coordinator. If you are have some experience as a referral coordinator, have worked in a fast paced clinic, meet the qualifications below and want to join a great team while working an excellent schedule, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 8-5, NO EVENINGS AND NO WEEKENDS, then we want to talk with you!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • RECEIVE initial referrals from provider
    • REVIEW AND COMPLETE the referrals following company guidelines, using EMR software
    • Follow up on any pending referrals until COMPLETE AND SCHEDULED
    • ENSURE ACCURATE AND COMPLETE referral data is obtained as orders require
    • Obtain insurance vERIFICATION/AUTHORIZATION from appropriate department
    • Coordinate referrals with external SOURCES AND THE PATIENT
    • ANSWER PHONES PROMPTLY and with excellent customer service skills
    • SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS, pre-op and post ops
    • Scan referral authorizations into ELECTRONIC CHART (ECW)
    • Generate patient letters and COMMUNICATION
    • Assist in completing all HEDIS measures for new and existing patients
    • REQUEST CONSULTS not received for continuation of care
    • Perform OTHER DUTIES as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in medical office, PREFERABLY IN REFERRALS
    • Minimum 2 years of previous experience with Electronic Medical Records. (ECLINICALWORKS preferred)
    • Basic level of skill in Microsoft EXCEL, WORD AND OUTLOOK
    • Excellent communication skills (WRITTEN AND ORAL)
    • EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
    • ORGANIZED and detail oriented

     

        • MEDICAL ASSISTANT / FRONT DESK - CHECK OUT * * *

    We need someone who is DEPENDABLE AND CAN HANDLE A BUSY FRONT DESK AND HELP US TAKE CARE OF OUR PATIENTS. You will mainly work our front desk (check out) and assist as a Medical Assistant when needed. If you are an MA, have experience working in a fast-paced PCP office, have health care front desk experience, meet the qualifications below and want to join a great team, then we want to talk with you!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    When working as the Front Desk Receptionist

    • Answer phones, TAKE MESSAGES, and schedule appointments
    • GREET PATIENTS, call patients about appointments
    • VERIFY INSURANCE and take payments
    • Scan DOCUMENTS and record into EMR
    • Take patient CO-PAY, check patients IN/OUT
    • CHECK PATIENTS OUT after appointments

    When working as a Medical Assistant

    • Room patients and PREPARE THEM TO SEE THE DOCTOR
    • Draw blood, TAKE VITALS
    • EKG's, Spirometry testing, WOUND CARE
    • PT-INR FINGER STICKS
    • Administer several different INJECTIONS and immunizations
    • REFILL MEDICATIONS through EMR, call patients with test results
    • TRIAGE PATIENTS and call back pertaining to the physician's recommendations
    • Stock exam rooms, dISCARD EXPIRED MEDICATION SAMPLES AND TRACK ON LOG
    • WORK ALL HEDIS preventative requirement measures, ordering clinical supplies
    • Complete month end logs for AHCA
    • Scan documents and records into EMR SYSTEM

    ​QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1-2 YEARS OF FRONT DESK EXPERIENCE IN A BUSY PCP OFFICE
    • SOME EXPERIENCE as a medical assistant, certification is preferred
    • Some experience handling the FRONT DESK WITH CHECK IN/OUT
    • 1-2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in a PCP clinic setting
    • Electronic MEDICAL RECORDS EXPERIENCE (e-Clinical Works preferred)
    • Pass AHCA BACKGROUND CHECK
    • Excellent COMMUNICATION SKILLS, FRIENDLY PERSONALITY, ENERGETIC
    • Excellent COMPUTER SKILLS
    • Must be good at handling MULTIPLE TASKS at one time
