    Job Description

    The VP ASSISTANT CONTROLLER is responsible for leading the external reporting process to ensure timely and accurate reporting to our investors and our parent company. Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of SEC reporting guidance and the interpretation of technical accounting guidance to meet our reporting and audit requirements and to provide advice to the business on the application of accounting guidance. Responsible for parent company support on enterprise financial matters. Responsible for the accounting of debt-related activity and supporting M&A projects. 

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for external financial reporting to our investors and parent company. Ensure the financial integrity process documentation and relevant filings meet the requirements of our debt agreements our parent company our external auditors and are in alignment with GAAP and relevant SEC requirements.
    • Responsible for the interpretation and application of accounting guidance to meet our reporting and disclosure requirements.
    • Responsible for the analysis of operational activities performing contract review providing guidance on the structure of an arrangements and overall accounting guidance to the business. Evaluate alternatives and document findings. Seek auditor alignment as appropriate. Maintain current knowledge of changes in accounting guidance and its impact on the business.
    • Responsible for supporting due diligence projects and performing pre and post-sale accounting support. Support integration efforts and identify gaps in accounting policy alignments to ensure comparative financial reporting.
    • Responsible for supporting external financing initiatives and to ensure the appropriate application of accounting for debt and other Treasury transactions. Responsible for cash flows and related analyses.
    • Responsible for cash forecasting for relevant areas. Responsible for supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of accounting polices across the enterprise.
    • Ensure alignment of accounting policies across the enterprise. Perform an annual review of polices for alignment with current business activities new accounting guidance and acquisitions.
    • Support other initiates as directed by the Controller or senior management. Ensure the development of the team the maintenance of the control environment ongoing process improvements documentation of key business processes cross training and segregation of duties.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    •         BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING, FINANCE OR RELATED FIELD

    •         CPA REQUIRED

    •         12-15 YEARS OF PROGRESSIVE ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL REPORTING EXPERIENCE IN A TECHNICAL ROLE WITH SEC REPORTING AND PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

    •         Experience in debt financial and M&A work is a plus
