    Job Description

    The Delivery Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of all Valassis material to residents in an efficient and safe manner. This position is responsible for selecting, orientating, and monitoring the performance of independent verifiers and maintaining good business relationships with the distribution carriers.

    This position is to be based out of our facility located at 701a Ashland Ave. Folcroft, PA 19032.

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accountable for dispatching and assigning independent verifiers based on client demands and service requirements. Safe driving of own vehicle for inspection of routes and product specifications. Communicate accurate information of route information including time of delivery, quality of delivery and any independent verifier issues. Assist independent verifiers with coaching, route mapping questions, schedule changes, product information and on time deliveries. Perform route inspection including product checks in assigned areas, as well as manage independent contractor performance or navigation tracking, as needed. Ensure that any complaints received related to, and product delivery receives prompt attention and resolve. Receive, investigate, and review complaints to maintain excellent customer service to both clients and residents. Review scheduled services and to make recommendations as to how cost could be reduced, or timeliness improved. 40%
    • Successfully select, contract, orientate and monitor the performance of independent verifiers to ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with the terms of our contract. Develop and maintain good rapport with independent verifiers towards achieving on time delivery goals and reduction of complaints. Also develops excellent relationships with internal staff and vendors. Respond to critical vendor scheduling changes as assigned, taking appropriate measures to ensure delivery best practices are adhered to. 30%
    • Maintenance and updates to various software including but not limited to: PCD ACCESS, MS Office, delivery tracking software. Maintains updated, organized paper files on customer accounts including contracts. Communicate findings of delivery complaints to team members including but not limited to resident complaints, client complaints and non-delivery complaints. Assist PCD administration with mapping and maintaining good delivery route descriptions and detours. 20%

    EDUCATION

    • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

    EXPERIENCE

    • ~3-5 years delivery inspection or route leadership experience preferred

    CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES

    • Must have a valid driver’s license (Required)

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Ability to drive own dependable, licensed, and insured motor vehicle with good driving skills (Required)
    • Ability to lead, coach and mentor others
    • Ability to learn and adhere to standardized rules, procedures and safety guidelines while working and operating own vehicle
    • Good understanding of route mapping
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and organizational skills
    • Great problem solving and excellent communication skills

    EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

    • Must have general knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office, spreadsheets or other programs related to the dispatching process or administrative support.

    COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

    • Must develop a good rapport, and communicate well with independent verifiers, customers, and staff

    DECISION MAKING

    • Monitors performance of independent contractors and responds to critical vendor scheduling changes. Assists with decisions regarding mapping and reporting

    Additional Information

    Hourly Rate: $15.00-$20.00

    The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
