    JOB SUMMARY

    The Insights & Strategy Specialist will bring analytical thinking to solve the challenges our clients face in activating consumers. They will connect the dots between client needs and our product capabilities to provide intelligent media and measurement solutions. This role will build annual media marketing and measurement strategies for our clients and in support of our sales organization. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a strong customer service mindset to execute and deliver thoughtful insights to clients and sales partners. This is a key role in the continued growth and success of Valassis. The ideal candidate will act as an advocate, analyst and adviser for some of the largest advertisers in the world and be a critical bridge across the greater Valassis and Harland Clarke organizations.

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analytics Ability to analyze measurement and insights reports to build out the story on how the results relate to the client/campaign strategy. Proficient in discussing analytic and measurement solutions during the planning, execution and post campaign phases.
    • Client Strategy Support Sales team with insights on media campaigns. Digest data into understandable elements of telling a story to clients about media performance. Provides standard media analysis for specifically assigned accounts / verticals aligning to client objectives. Consults with clients and sales on standard measurement methodology and set-up. Completes measurement analysis with insightful summary and recommendations. Presents media measurement results to mid-tier and smaller clients.
    • Product & Industry Expertise Understands Valassis media products, measurement products and positioning. Share best practices with the Sales & Services organization. Participate in vertical workshops across Valassis to set media strategy and planning. Liaison to internal print and digital teams representing the voice of key clients and the vertical consumer to influence Valassis product and innovation objectives. Attend industry conferences & events to stay close with the needs of clients and industry trends.

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, data science, business or analytics (Preferred)
    • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3 - 5 years Relevant Experience in advertising or marketing/client strategy (Preferred)

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Understanding of media, business or marketing. Able to use data as a tool for storytelling
    • Analytical mindset/problem-solving skills.

    EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

    • Tableau, Powerpoint, Excel, Alteryx experience desired.

    COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

    Communicates professionally in both written and verbal form. Able to build credibility with internal and external partners as professional and responsible. Listens, understands, and takes action on the direction provided by team members, co-workers, and leadership. Actively participates in training. Ability to build an internal network, establishing key points of contact

    Additional Information

    SALARY: $65,000 - $70,000 Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.

    The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
