    Job Description

    Vericast is seeking a Social Media & Public Relations Coordinator with 3+ years of B2B/B2C social media and public relations experience in matrixed organizations. Reporting to the Executive Director of Public Relations & Social Media, this role supports Vericast's social media and public relations efforts. Responsibilities encompass managing social channels, strategic planning, content development, project management, metrics reporting, campaign execution, and community management.
    The ideal candidate stays current with industry trends, excels in social media and public relations management, and possesses strong writing, strategic planning, and channel monitoring skills. Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Style and collaboration with external agencies is essential. Proven success in innovative campaign implementation is crucial, and a proactive mindset, organizational prowess, and a genuine passion for social media, marketing tech, and branding are desired qualities.

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Social Media Management: Manage and curate content for all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Monitor channels and handle crises effectively to ensure the company's reputation is protected. 20%
    • Community Management: Foster meaningful interactions with our online community and respond to comments and messages promptly 10%
    • Content Creation: Conceptualize and create engaging and relevant content for Vericast research reports, press releases, articles, demand generation, and other important materials that align to the Vericast brand and content strategies. 20%
    • Campaign Development: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to drive engagement, followers, and conversions. 10%
    • Strategy Assistance: Work cross-functionally to build comprehensive social media and public relations plans for the Vericast brand and its solutions. This includes ongoing and regular collaboration and touchpoints with teams in Creative Services, Marketing, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Event Marketing, among others 10%
    • Writing: Work with partner agency to review, edit and write (as needed) press releases, thought leadership editorial bylines, and copy for social assets. 10%
    • Paid Social: Assistance in daily monitoring of paid social efforts and ongoing ad campaigns across platforms. Assist Social Media Manager in conceptualizing and executing paid campaigns. 10%
    • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of public relations and social media efforts, providing regular reports and insights to the team. 10%

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Media, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of three years of experience in social media management and public relations, preferably in the MarTech or AdTech space.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
    • Proficiency in social media analytics and management tools.
    • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative PR and social media ideas
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Crisis management skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
    • A proactive and self-motivated attitude
    • Familiarity and experience with industry standard social media management tools, e.g. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Expertise in business-critical social platforms, with in-depth knowledge of best practices on each and a deep understanding of how different social platforms can be deployed to drive engagement.
    • Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign metrics, with an eye toward improving efficiencies and meeting key performance indicators (KPI's).
    • Experience creating and deploying engaging content that delights audiences in both B2B and B2C sectors.
    • Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style
    • Occasional travel may be required.

    Additional Information

    Base salary: $55,000-$65,000

    The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
