Our client is looking for a Chief Underwriter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operations and risk management of the Underwriting department. This role will maintain each program's profitability, including balancing the need for sales and profits. In addition, work with the sales team to ensure success.  

Responsibilities include:

Developing Underwriting processes that comply with approved program guidelines

Working with the management team, carriers, actuaries, and reinsurers to maintain new business and renewal rate manuals.

Responsible for implementation of new products and product changes.

Provide leadership to the underwriting department including training and developing staff, conducting performance evaluations. Hiring new employees

Requirements:

10+ years of experience group health market, small to mid-size groups

Experience with Underwriting, plus one of the other areas compliance, actuarial, marketing, product development

Management or Supervisor experience required

Bachelors required

Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future, no sponsorships available at this time.
