Job Description

As a Billing & Revenue Specialist at Verisk you'll work closely with our domestic and international billing and revenue reporting groups and will be responsible for processing billing and billing adjustments for various business products, including collection efforts for major insurance companies.  

Additional responsibilities of the role are:

• Participate in monthly revenue close process
• Create and input journal entries into the PeopleSoft GL system
• Review of executed contracts to ensure proper invoicing and revenue recognition
• Assist with pricing estimates for prospective customers
• Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed
• Deliver high standard of departmental and cross-departmental services 
• Ad hoc requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Knowledge of general revenue recognition guidance preferred
• 1 year of relevant accounting experience 
• Must be excellent in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (including pivot tables / v-lookups)
• PeopleSoft experience preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills, including explanation of complex billing rules
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Excellent client service, teamwork, and diplomacy skills
• Adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
